Pottery for Beauty and Function
Most of Charlotte's pottery is made by hand on a potters wheel. A few pieces such as platters, oval serving dishes and stick butter dishes are made with slabs. The pottery is fired at high temperature to bring you a durable, non porous, functional piece of pottery. The reduction atmosphere inside the kiln (oxygen starved and carbon exhausts enriched) gives the beautiful, rich vibrant colors. Only food safe glazes are used on the pottery which is dishwasher and microwave safe. When using in a conventional oven, place in preheating oven before baking.
