Unique Beautiful Pottery


Raku is a 16th century Japanese art form. Raku is a low fire process where the glowing hot pots are removed from the kiln and put in a reduction chamber filled with combustibles such as newspaper, straw and sawdust. The chamber is quickly sealed to create an oxygen depleted atmosphere. The results are one of a kind pots glazed with beautiful lusters and patinas.

Raku is for decorative use only. It is not for use with food or water.
